Verse 1. Sutra Three - Sundari

Some wrong thinking ones teach deficiently,

Confident, truth minded ones speak virtuously,

When arguments come-around the noble one does [not] get involved,

Having given up good and evil, the [sage] is not concerned.

亦毀於少言,
Yì huǐ yú shǎo yán,
多言亦得毀,
duō yán yì dé huǐ,
亦毀於忠言,
yì huǐ yú zhōngyán,
世惡無不毀。
shì è wú bù huǐ.

Parallel: The Pali Sutta Nipata, Atthakavagga - Chap. 3, Verse 780

Discussion: The negative is used in the Pali in the third line. Muni (sage) appears in the fourth line in the Pali parallel.
